It's not uncommon to sometimes not receive your verification code. This issue is usually related to the settings on your mobile device. Below are some tips to help you receive the verification code.
Please note! It can take up to 10 minutes to receive the code. If you've requested multiple codes in the meantime, your code may no longer be valid.
Device Signal and Internet Connection
Ensure that phone calls and SMS messages are being delivered to your mobile device. Have a friend call you and send you an SMS message to ensure that you receive both. If you don't receive the call or text, first check if your mobile device is turned on. If your device is on but you still do not receive a call or text, there's likely an issue with your network. Contact your service provider or troubleshoot the issue.
Disable Do Not Disturb
Make sure you have not enabled the 'Do Not Disturb' feature for your mobile device. When this feature is enabled, notifications may not alert you on your mobile device.
Refer to your mobile device's manual for instructions on how to disable this feature. You can also search on google.com with the following search term: "Disable Do Not Disturb <your phone brand>."
Check If Your Notifications are Enabled
Ensure that your mobile device has notifications enabled. Check that the following notification modes are allowed:
- Phone calls
- Your SMS app
Make sure that with these modes, an alert is created that is visible on your device.
